Pete Rose is not in the MLB Hall of Fame. His notorious history of betting on Major League Baseball games is well-documented, and has been the thorn in the side of his chances of receiving entry. Pete is also responsible for effectively ending catcher Ray Fosse's very-promising career in Major League Baseball by plowing over him in a bang-bang play at home plate in the 12th inning of the 1970 All-Star Game.
All-Star Games are basically meaningless. The man absolutely had no off switch.
