Boy, they sure don't make em' like they used to...
The Cannonball Run (1981) I lump into a short list of early 80's movies that defined a genre. The Naked Gun series, Revenge of the Nerds, Bachelor Party... they all share one common thread, I feel: Non-PC humor. Films in those days just pushed the envelope a lot more in terms of racial and gender stereotypes. Crude... often. Was it right? That's open for debate. But were they funny? Emphatically: Hell yeah!
Here's to my two favorite Ferrari-pushing priests: Dino & The Chocolate monk. God's speed, gentlemen.
