We all know what Ike Turner is unfortunately most famous for, which in my mind is tragic. He was a truly masterful musician and band leader that was revered and respected throughout the music business. That aspect of his legacy should never be lost.
The concept of this shirt is like an onion: there's layers, man. Triple entendre, for God's sake! I'll preface by saying those not familiar with the Frankie Goes To Hollywood phenomenon of the early to mid 1980's may want to sit this one out. Finding a clip that showed just how crazy Ike Turner's relaxed hair was, at the height of Ike & Tina's success, was a bit of a chore. But this one from 1971 on Italian TV absolutely drives the Ike spike home. I can't say I've seen a black man with hair like that before or since. (Maybe Danny Brown's in the same area code I guess?)
